A Journey of Rewilding, Healing, and Empowerment

The wild

My earliest memories are of the Australian bush—the smell of eucalyptus, the feel of wind brushing past my skin, and the quiet hum of nature all around me. My father’s horses were my first companions, and the open land was where I felt most free. I grew up playing polo, mustering cattle, and spending hours in solitude, away from the confines of the world I was expected to fit into. In nature, I found an expansive sense of belonging—an unspoken connection to something far greater than myself.

But it wasn’t just nature’s beauty that shaped me. I was raised in a household where emotions were to be kept in check, and traditional values held sway. Despite the emotional suppression I learned, there was always a part of me that knew there was something more

a deeper calling I couldn't yet fully understand.

Wild Beginnings: A Child of Nature

From a young age,
I was drawn to the wild.

The Roar Within: Breaking Free from the System

At 17, I began my journey toward freedom.

By the end of my quest, I was called to wander, and in the days after the answer finally arrived, I was here to be a teacher in this life — someone who could guide others through their process of awakening. And so, I set my sights on America, eager to learn more about wilderness quests and indigenous masters.

In the silence of the coastal wilderness, I was stripped of everything I thought I knew. The land became my mirror, showing me severe fear and personal truths I couldn’t ignore.

Meditation became my first step into exploring the deeper parts of myself. One day while in mediation, I asked, “What is the next best step on my spiritual path?”. The answer came like a rocket - to travel to the north alone, fast for 3 days as preparation and then 7 days solo on water in a coastal forest location. Without knowing exactly how and with no guide other than my heart, I packed my things and made my way to Byron Bay—ready to face whatever awaited me.

As I made my way to the land I was shown in my meditation, it was Tom Brown Jr.’s The Vision that truly set my heart on fire. His story of self-discovery through nature awakened a realisation that I had been called by a higher power to embark on my very first vision quest.

I headed to America with nothing but a deep sense of purpose. In the years that followed, I trained predominantly under Tom Brown Jr., learning the sacred arts of tracking, awareness, spiritual healing and wilderness survival. It was here that I began my initiation in the Stalking Wolf Lineage 4 Worlds Sacred System and as a guide for Wilderness Rites of Passage (Vision Quest Protector). During this time, the journey became more than just surviving in the wild—it was about reconnecting with the power of earth wisdom and with myself on a primal level. It was about understanding how my consciousness and the land were one and the same. It was about seeking my deeper life purpose and laying down my life to be in service to this greater vision.

One of my most transformative experiences came when I lived as a caretaker at Tom Brown’s School in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. The four seasons I spent there—living without electricity or running water, in a primitive shelter—was a true initiation. I completed four Vision Quests that year, lit every single fire I needed with a hand drill and fundamentally transformed my understanding of life itself.

During one freezing winter morning, I can still remember standing in the snow, feeling like an awkward Australian young woman, out of place but in awe. The sun was shining, the sky was clear, there was white snow everywhere, but I could feel absolutely no heat. As an Aussie, I’d never experienced that before. The snow and the beauty of the cold light stunned me. I’ll never forget that moment.

In that moment of cold stillness, something shifted. A power moved into my body — fierce, silent, undeniable. At the same time, I could feel my internal world, my personality, fracture and break open completely. I didn’t understand it then, but a death and rebirth process was alchemising within me.

Initiation by Wilderness: Vision Quest

After making it through a business degree in Sydney and a few jobs where I could have become a corporate princess, it was undeniably time to leave Australia behind.

In the years to come, that experience became a turning point. It was the beginning of discovering a resilience, a strength, and a connection to the Earth that would guide me for the rest of my life.

On return to Australia, I began to search for them, and a few years later, in 2007, I found them living in a remote Yolŋu community in Northeast Arnhem Land, Australia. When I saw a photograph of the woman who would become my adopted mother, I instantly knew in my heart that this was the community I had been searching for. How I got there is a long story, but needless to say, within 48 hours of arriving, I was adopted into my now Yolŋu family. It felt like destiny itself unfolding before me.

Edgewalker: America, Survival & the Sacred Fire

My time in the United States wasn’t just about physical survival—it was about embodying the sacred fire that burns within us ALL.

This is where I began to understand the deeper layers of my path. The wisdom I was receiving wasn’t just about living in the wild—it was about reconnecting with the wisdom that lives in every living thing, from the trees to the rivers, to my own body, and every human body. I began to perceive universal wisdom and truth. The land, the sky and the greater non-human world became the portal through which I began to learn and grow.

It was during my time in the Pine Barrens that I had a vision—a vision that would call me back to Australia. One day, while sitting in my shelter in awe of how amazing it was, I saw the sacred pipe of the First Nations people and the colours of the Australian Aboriginal flag merge before me. Immediately, I knew that I needed to find a specific Australian Indigenous community, one carrying deep traditional roots, that would deepen my understanding of earth-sourced wisdom, community, and survival.

It was about learning a sacred system that took my awareness beyond the limitations of the physical world. I learned that true survival is not about just enduring life’s challenges, but about thriving in union with the earth and the elements. I pushed my limits, faced my fears, and surrendered to the unknown, all while learning to trust that life was working with me and for me and would always provide what I needed.

I learned how to live with the land rather than on it, to masterfully weave, to hunt and harvest, to see every interaction as part of a sacred dance. The wisdom I received here was not just intellectual — it was embodied, deeply visceral, and transformative. It was in this community that I truly began to understand the depth of feminine power, ancestral kinship, traditional law, community living, sovereignty, and strength.

My Yolngu family, and the women of Arnhem Land are to this day my beloved family, mentors and teachers in ways that go beyond words. They embody a profound strength—one that is rooted in softness, connection, and presence. Their playful, cheeky nature is grounded in an ancient wisdom that connects them to the beginning of time. I learned from them how to be both fully present and fully alive, how to embrace the full spectrum of emotion without fear or shame.

They hold a deep understanding of the ceremonial cycles of the earth. They move through the world with both a fierce independence and an equally powerful tenderness as their culture struggles to survive the onslaught of modern ways.

The Dreaming Speaks: Arnhem Land & Ancestral Kinshi

During my time living with the Yolngu, they showed me a new way of being—one rooted in connection, respect, and responsibility to the land.

Through motherhood, I learned the sacred art of holding space for others, and I began to see how every part of my journey—my Vision Quests, my survival training, and my connection to the earth—was leading me to this sacred work.

Motherhood as Ceremony: Raising Children Between Worlds

These teachings became the foundation for my own journey into motherhood.

The Yolŋu philosophy around child-rearing—rooted in respect, sovereignty, and deep connection—shaped the way my partner and I raised my children. Through them, I learned what it means to raise a child in the ways of the Earth, with deep respect for their autonomy and sacredness.

I blended the teachings of the Yolŋu people with my own experiences, creating a parenting style that honoured sovereignty, connection, and freedom. It wasn’t just about nurturing my children—It was about teaching them to walk with their feet planted firmly on the earth, grounded in love and respect for themselves and the world around them.

––through the loss of miscarriage, relationship betrayal, and the passing of my father — I realised that something essential had been missing from my journey. Despite the depth of my spiritual practice, I had neglected the embodiment of my own feminine sensuality and power. I had a huge amount of personal healing I needed to move through, and this is when Tantra came into my life, offering me the missing piece of the puzzle.

Traditional Tantric wisdom allowed me to heal and survive the trials of my forties and reclaim my body, my feminine energy, and my sensuality in a way I had been craving for years. When I combined the embodiment practices with my body-based connection to the natural world, I learned how to truly inhabit my own being, to release shame and trauma, and to awaken the life force energy that had been dormant in my system for so long. Tantra helped me receive love, not just offer it, to tame my emotional triggers and instead use them for fuel for my inner certainty and wisdom. I had finally found a way to reconnect to the deep wisdom of my body.

The Eighth Quest: Tantra, Embodiment & Coming Home to Myself

As I turned forty, my life’s greatest trials began

The final axe blow came via phone just 5 days before launching in the Great Karoo Desert of South Africa, on ALONE USA as the first Aussie (and a woman) to join the show.

This massive rite of passage acted like a fire that burned away my old life and the old patterns and beliefs that were no longer serving me, clearing the way for a dramatic rebirth and a new version of myself to emerge.

I discovered even more deeply that my power is fully sourced from within my soul. And certainly not from external validation or perfection! But from embracing my full range of human experiences, and by backing myself and my needs, no matter how much joy or pain that brings.

From Ashes to Sovereignty: The Fire of Relationship & Rebirth

After 20 years of devotion, the breakdown of my long-term relationship was a profound initiation in its own right.

I believe our connection to nature is vital, if we are to reclaim our true potential as human beings. I see nature as both the source of life and the meaning of life.

My journey of survival training and learning how to track animals in the wild taught me that we are not separate from the earth, but intrinsically linked to it.

The wisdom of the land, the rhythms of the seasons, and the wildness of the natural world are fundamental to the way I approach my teachings.

By healing ourselves—by reclaiming our connection to the earth, our bodies, and our emotions—we can step into our true sovereignty.

We can reclaim our true human potential, free from shame, fear, or doubt, and step boldly into the lives we were always meant to lead.

My role is to guide others on this journey—offering them the tools to remember who they are, to embody their own power, and to lead their lives with purpose, clarity, and a deep connection to the wildness within.

Why I Teach: A Shortcut to the Soul

I teach and guide because I believe in offering others a shortcut to their own soul’s wisdom.
